RFC: draft of new privacy policy

It's been about seven years since we amended our privacy policy, and
there are number of things we'd like to better address. Fedora Legal
has produced a new draft, and would like comments. (This involves
actual lawyer time and back and forth, so let's make that a 14-day
comment period.) The draft proposal is at

Please review and provide any feedback. Of particular note, there's a
section on "Non-Personal Information", covering IP addresses,
geolocation, crash data, and an anonymous machine UUID. This last is
something I've talked about at Flock and DevConf for the last couple of
years, but isn't actually implemented. This just lays some groundwork.
(Any such future implementation will get its own period of feedback and
strict security review to make sure we're keeping the promises this
statement makes.)

EDU Objective Logic Model

Council,
Today some of us met to begin formalizing the Logic Model of the EDU objective. We started with an etherpad, and will continue developing useful representations of this model in other forms (slides, graphics, etc...) For now, this is a work in progress, and I'm including here what we've got thusfar (attached, and linked below)

I will be travelling to represent the Council at FUDCon LATAM for a week starting on Tuesday, so my availability will be lower than usual during that time. I'm hoping that by the end of the week after my return (October), we will finalize and publish this Logic Model as the first of our objectives to be mapped out in this new paradigm.

no-cost fedora "sponsorship" of a fedora remix at a launch event?

Let me see if I can explain this concisely. https://cloudrouter.org/ is
a Fedora Remix aimed at software-defined networking. The company behind
it has a launch event on September 9th, and as a token of appreciation
for being Fedora-based, would like to add us as a sponsor (although
they are not asking for any money). They would put our name on a coffee
station (similarly to how our friends at Rackspace sponsored breaks at
Flock). Do we want to do this?
This is coming to me from an old-school Fedora contributor who now
works at the company; I'm quite sure that it's motivated by a sincere
wish to recognize Fedora, rather than just trying to glom on to our
good name. I definitely like the idea of recognizing/supporting people
building cool new things on Fedora, although I'm not sure if
sponsorship is the right idiom.
Bonus fun: they're going to the printer RSN, so we need anything to
be... soon.
