Fedora Censorship status
by Daniel Pocock
At various times this year, people have written things that appeared on
Planet Fedora and other people had no right of reply because their blogs
were never included there or blogs had been actively censored.
Given the latest discussions taking place about what potentially amounts
to censorship, I feel it is critical that anybody with a view is able to
use all communication channels, including Planet Fedora, to draw
attention to whatever concerns they have.

Re: Fedora Council policy proposal: Community Publishing Platforms
by Alessio
So, we could assume that a Community Publishing Platform is whatever platform with the Fedora trademark? And such platform is supposed to follow the Fedora CoC.
Let's assume a group of passionate users (or a single one) using the Fedora trademark on a blog or wathever. In this case the Council has final say on decisions related to this platform only if things go wrong? I mean, if the platform isn't official, isn't "approved", isn't endorsed by the Council, but it is a polite and a nice place and there are not complaints involving the CoC, is it OK?
Ciao,
A.

Mmm. Maybe it is a language barrier (or my ignorance).
But a Publishing Platform is limited to blogging, microblogging (twitter, fb?) and "video blogging". Or also a forum is a publishing platform. What about Reddit? Instead, chat platforms are not publishing platforms, right?
Thanks,

[Action Required] F33 Virtual Release Party: Let's choose dates!
by Marie Nordin
****************************************************************
****************************************************************
TLDR; Go to the following link and indicate your preference for dates for
our F33 Virtual Release Party. (This is to gather *everyones* preference,
organizers, presenters, & attendees)
https://pagure.io/fedora-mindshare/virtual-events/issue/1
****************************************************************
****************************************************************
Hello Fedora Friends,
We are coming up on the latest release of Fedora and we have a unique
opportunity to create a global event to celebrate!
How it will be structured is being worked on by the Mindshare Committee.
The general idea will most likely shape up to be something like:
We will use HopIn, length of the event is determined by the platform (72
hours)
1 or 2 "global sessions" organized by leadership on each day (3-6 total)
an unlimited number of "local" sessions submitted by the community (???)
- could be by team
- could be by location
- could be by language
For now the first step is to choose dates. We are looking at three
different weekends (Fri, Sat, & Sun) to schedule the event.
November 6th - 8th
November 13th - 15th
November 20th - 22nd
Please indicate your preference for a date.
If you would like to help organize a session, please note that as well.
Here is the ticket to leave your preference:

Cheers!
