We have Subproject Report meetings scheduled for Februrary 22, March 22, and April 22. What parts of the project do we want to hear from?
Oh, and also I will be on vacation Feb 22. :)

I'd like to hear from these in no particular order, off the top of my head:
- Marketing + Magazine - Ambassadors - CommOps - Diversity - Join - Modularity - FESCo - Docs
Given my understanding of their relative health, it seems like Join and Modularity would be good first round picks. I'd like to give Ambassadors some time for the new FAMSCo to settle in. CommOps and Diversity are lower in priority for me solely because I am involved in their work. The rest may not have the strength to make a great report, but may help the Council understand where we need to work on adding strength in the project.

If we have this meeting, Modularity seems to be a great fit as it is probably an area you (mattdm) are already caught up with.

bex

+1 The Join SIG is trying to set up some processes again and it would be nice to hear more about that.

My second choice would be a report about Diversity. We have set up some budget for it, so it would be good to know how things are going.
Just to add a third option, I would call for Marketing (with Magazine as sub-topic). Storically marketing has always been related to ambassadors, but this 'cooperation' is not so strong anymore. Given that FAmSCo's mission is to reenergize and riorganize ambassadors, this could be a good input.

Good list (also thanks Robert for additional comments). I think I'd split out Magazine and Marketing entirely into two things, at this point — this will probably highlight that Marketing without Magazine needs a lot of help, but that's not a wrong thing to highlight.

Petr did a report on Base Runtime back in October, which I guess is getting to be a long time ago now. And Langdon did an update almost exactly a year ago. I guess it's probably time to do this in light of Modularity as an Objective — we are at the end of the timeframe put forth in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Objectives/Fedora_Modularization,_Prototype_P... so it's time to update/renew — or, I guess, move on, if it's at a point where it's complete or no longer needs high-level attention... which I'm not sure is the case :).

Hi! Just to add some of my thoughts here, I would strongly be +1 to separating Marketing and Magazine too. Since the Magazine has grown since its start, it has become more of its own sub-project independent from Marketing, and there isn't much overlap between members.

Another question to clarify – is the plan to only have one report per meeting? I've pitched this idea for Marketing and we are discussing it now during the Diversity meeting, but I also know CommOps and the Magazine would probably be interested in giving a report. I'm not sure if there is a priority list for some groups, but it would be helpful to know if there will only be these three meetings with one report per subgroup, or if there will be room for more.
Thanks!

Generally we have taken the full time for one group, which allows for a presentation of:
- current status - future plans - needs and requests
and the questions and answers.

Okay, thanks, the structure helps. Also, are there any other plans for more than the three sessions or are there any groups that you all would like to see more urgently?

The basic plan is to do this once a month forever. :)
I think the list of groups Brian gave is a good start; we can figure out priority and adjust from there.

Okay, great, good to know! I know that both Marketing and the Diversity team would be interested in taking two of these slots, but I also want to make sure there is time for the Council and/or other interested groups to weigh in too. If no other takers, Marketing was hoping for the March 22 slot, and Diversity could take April. There is no rush on this decision, but we'd like maybe two weeks or more to prepare and plan out what we want to present, if possible. :)
Thanks!

Brian, do you want to run something in February, or should we skip that one? Marketing and Diversity sound great for the next two.

If you mean this Brian, I suggest that those two topics be after Feb. I think we should select a sub-project about which you (mattdm) feel fully informed and unlikely to have questions or skip the meeting.

Yes, this Brian. I guess I should use "Bex" to resolve ambiguity — although that's also the name of the woman who cuts my hair.
The Modularity report you suggested seems like a good idea.

Langdon? can you drive getting this?

Assuming you mean basically, "give the preso on the 22nd", sure.
+1 to all the other ideas.
I do also think we could have an "extended council" meeting or something where we could have the leadership of all the groups (or a rep) come in and have roundtable discussion on things like objectives, future, broken stuff, etc.
Langdon
