Hi all,
I have created a specfile [1] and RPM [2] for deltacloud-core based on gem version which was recently published on gemcutter [3].
It should build without problems on Fedora 13/12.
Please let me known if you experience any problems with specfile or if you have any issues with RPM.

I forgot that there are 2 unresolved rubygems in F13 :(
rack-accept-media-types
I vote for 'bundling' this inside lib directory. It's just one simple Ruby file and I'm not sure if it will be useful as an RPM.
rerun
My preference here is to remove 'rerun' from dependencies and make deltacloud-core installed using RPM run in production mode by default. Rerun is useful only in development environment (it reloads code after change).
Let me know what you think.

I agree with both those points.

OK, I've fixed that dependencies and updated spec file. Also I've created a 'support/fedora' directory which holds a spec file and 'non-rerun' launcher which is used by spec file. (Changes were pushed into master).
Now it builds fine in koji [1].

I have written a python binding for deltacloud client. Do I create a git patch and send it to the list? What is the procedure?
On a similar note, I wanted to compare results of my client with deltacloud's ruby-client. 'deltacloudc --help' asks me to export an environment variable API_URL=http://%5Buser%5D:%5Bpassword%5D@%5Bapi_url%5D%5Bport%5D%5B/uri]
Does it handle special characters like @ and / within user and password? I keep getting wrong URI errors especially when using Amazon EC2 secret keys.
Thanks,

Yes, procedure is fairly simple. You generate a patch using 'git format-patch master' and then use 'git send-email'. Or alternatively you can import your whole project to gitorious/github and just post a link.

Actually this is a good question, I had same problem few days ago. I'll investigate this deeper to give you a right answer ;)

Thanks Michal. Any luck with using deltacloud-client with username and password for ec2?

Sure, I pushed a small patch which allows you specify username, password using environment.
API_USER="user" API_PASSWORD="password" API_URL="http://...:3001/api"
Cheers, Michal

Since we don't have a python client yet, I'd prefer to keep it in a separate repo. IOW, just push a git repo somewhere public and let the list know where it is.
