Since these files are only images, why are they fc38 release specific? My expectations is that they are the same since fc24. Imagine having all backgrounds available for previous releases installed. This adds several gigabytes (maybe) of data to be : - downloaded - removed from storage - added to storage. This is pointless if the data remained the same. Please clarify if my understanding is correct and what is the reason behind 'upgrading' these packages. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. dnf --releasever=$NEXTVER upgrade f\* 2. 3. Actual Results: files are replaced even if they have not been changed. Expected Results: files are left alone unless they have changed.
