I just ran 'gimp somefile.pdf', and this error popped up.
From looking at the code, /usr/lib64/gimp/2.0/python/gimpfu.py line 224 appears to be checking a procedure name, and rejects one for having a character that's other than letters, digits, underline or dash.
It would have been helpful if the error message could have printed what the procedure name was (possibly escaped) and where it came from.
