Issues with the design that still remain - only a couple have been
address. These same problems I cited before are still there:
- we have had a general rule for a long time now that we don't put
release names in the artwork, the release name is here.
- the usage of the Fedora logo mark as a border violates multiple logo
usage rules :)
- you can't use a keyline around the Fedora logomark either - logo
guidelines rule. you still have this.
- it doesn't look like the 'Constantine' typeface is still not the
correct one, but either way it is not a good idea to have English text
in the artwork as it requires translation, nor is it good to mark
artwork with a particular release as it dates it for people who may want
to use the artwork it later releases.
This introduces a few new issues as well:
- the background of the fedora logo is a blue square that does not match
the grid pattern behind it.
- the fedora logo artwork looks like it was blown up from a lower
resolution so it is pixelated and of poor quality.
Overall, I question what goal you are trying to achieve with this
artwork. I don't get any kind of message or feeling from it - what
message are you trying to communicate?
From a usability perspective, the background pattern is very noisy and
vibrates a lot of my monitor, and I do not think such a high-contrast,
vibrating pattern is very suitable for a background artwork piece as
it's distracting.

I am a complete outsider just trying to help :). So take my comments
with a grain of salt.
Hmmm I am not sure what is causing it but the background 'dots' made
my CRT wobble. I think the earlier drawings you had were more faded
with a feel of a Byzantine tile pattern. Looking at various mosaics I
would say the dark dots would need to be 1/16 the number on there...
with various blue squares every now and then faded. I am not sure if
names and the Logo are ok on them.. the feather would be a nice touch
in four corners with it made out of tile..

I think starting out by trying to do theme artwork is a very challenging
place to start and may cause you a lot of frustration. The theme artwork
is, in my opinion, the most difficult thing that we do.
There are other tasks that you could take up though to help and maybe
get your feet a bit wet before you take on something like theme artwork?
E.g., we have a ticket queue here:

They are categorized by type. You may want to start out with something
like a hackergotchi request (and we have a tutorial we can refer you to
for that if you need help) or a simple icon or artwork request and get
more familiar with the team and build up your skillset that way.

As Máirín says, theme work is the hardest work as its the most
collaborative and strict. I am not trying to discourage you.. just
wanting you to know that it needs to be a learning experinece.. you
will most likely throw away more things than you would realize.
To get an idea of the 'mosaic' theme work, I would google search for
artwork of Constantinople and the Eastern Roman Empire. Sadly blue is
not a color I found a lot of.. most of it is browns and yellows. The
usual place one sees blue seems to be in Fish motifs.
To get an idea of Roman art of Constantine's time I would actually
look more towards late Roman work. Mosaics were still popular but of a
different sort than the later Byzantine work associated with
Constantinople (now Istanbul.. Why they changed it I can't say
People just liked it better that way.)
You might want to research the art of Bath, England as it might have
been frequented by Constantine while in Britain.

This list is a place where we discuss and give honest feedback on design
work for Fedora. If you are only interested in hearing praise and are not
open to hearing honest (if critical) feedback, some other forum is
probably better for you. If you are looking for detailed feedback and
advice to help you take your work to the next level, though, this is a
good place for you to learn and grow and I encourage you to keep at it.
I'm quite happy that you seem to have decided to keep trying, and I wish
you the best success. That being said, I don't think you have a right to
complain about the frustration of a task that you chose to do, when you've
already been explicitly warned that the task is frustrating and that there
are less frustrating opportunities for you. Nobody is forcing you to do
anything, so I'm not sure what good you hope to do by complaining about
doing things you've volunteered to do. Such complaints only bring the
level of the list down. Nothing that I wrote attacks you or your works
personally, so I'm quite puzzled at how you could take offense at my
words.
If you have any further problems with me personally, please take them
off-list. Thanks.

This is great news. One suggestion though :) Try using Inkscape! It's open
source and it's one of the tools most of us use. There's a lot of good
tutorials for it online. Let me know if you'd like links.
