Hi,
since we are "command line" users, we aren't sure about how GUI is
designed. Can anybody tak a look at it? Basically, there are two windows.
First window includes a list of bugs with basic information like
application name, package name, ... An user has two options. Either report
a crash or delete a crash. If the user wants to report a crash, he chooses
some crash by clicking and then click on the icon in the icon panel, after
a while a second windows is displayed. If he wants to delete a crash, then
he click on another icon.
Second window includes a list of detailed information. Some information
the user can not change (like linux kernel version), some information he
can change (like backtrace). When data have binary form (possibly large
amount of data) the user can decide if he wants to include then in a
report (by clicking on a checkbutton on left side). The same situation is
when data have text form and text is large.

I discussed this face to face with Mo at FUDCon. We need to remove the
MeeGo branding for what was going to be the MeeGo Netbook spin because we
don't comply with the technical requirements of MeeGo. As a result we need
to replace the MeeGo logo in the top left hand corner of the screen with a

The current image from their git is here

We need to replace the "MeeGo" on the left side of the image with the

Hi, I know this ticket is composed by 2 sub-tickets.
The first one: is possible to have a logo (like we hae for ambassadors &
famscowiki) for the [https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F12_release_events]
wiki page? Or, at least, is possible to have an svg of one of the
mentioned images in order to modify it?
The second question: what is the best way to organize the page (in your
opinion), since a wiki could be less usable than a blank page: Events by
country, by date or randomly? I know the question is odd, but since it
will be the place where people will go to search for their event it would
be helfull to know what is the best way.
Thank you for your attention.

The FUDcon NA team is going to be preparing for an advertising push for
local FUDcon attendees very soon, one of the things we'd like is to have
poster designs we could have printed at kinkos, etc, to post around
campus.
I'm not qualified to really put any sane input into designing these, so
I'm just gonna infodump... I tried to come up with some mockups, but
they're all fairly ridiculous. :)
* When: Jan29-31, 2011
* Location: ASU Brickyard Artisan Building on Sat/Sun and the ASU Memorial
Union on Mon
* Should probably use artwork similar to
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/File:FUDCon_Tempe_2011_logo.png
* Link to wiki page for event
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/FUDCon:Tempe_2011 (maybe a shorturl?)
* Some marketing like: "Interested in learning about and getting involved
in one of the most dynamic open source projects the world over? Join us
Saturday through Monday, January 29-31 for arcamp style talks and a
hackfest!" I just wrote that off the top of my head, any improvements are
welcome. Robyn?
With the seemingly instant rise of QR codes, maybe we could stick on on
the posters, with an ICS for the event embedded in it? Kinda cheesy, but
I'm already seeing a lot of other ads (especially around campus) using QR
codes.

We need a zikula skin for https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Insight.
The fedora-zikula repository contains a fedora-themed zikula skin design
that may be useful as a starting point: http://git.fedorahosted.org/git

There is no existing design material for Fedora Insight (fonts, color
scheme, logo, etc) so this may need to be split up into smaller tickets to
create those materials first.
We would like to have this go live at Beta time (2009-10-06) which I think
(but am not absolutely sure - what is the usual procedure for getting
design stuff up on infra boxes?) means we need the design before the Beta
freeze (2009-09-22).

Hi Design Team! I am working on some of the logistics for the upcoming
[wiki:FUDCon:Tempe_2011 FUDCon 2011] in Tempe, AZ. What we need help with
from the Design team is to design a t-shirt for the event, using past
FUDCon t-shirt designs as a place to start.
There is a [wiki:FUDCon_Tempe_2011_logo.svg base logo] for the event.
Generally, we'd like to keep some consistency for FUDCon t-shirt designs
across FUDCons, but want to also reflect something about each location.
For the FUDCon Toronto 2009, for example, we used a logo on the front and
a word cloud with significant terms from the FUDCon content, location,
etc. I think this was a nice design, but perhaps you creative folks have
some even better ideas!
Timeframe for this is within the next eight weeks or so. We will be
working with either a local vendor in Tempe, or a preferred vendor.
In terms of numbers of colors, I think we used two colors for Toronto --
white and blue on black t-shirts. Because we want to keep prices in the
same ballpark, I would suggest two colors for this as well. Thanks, and
please let me know if you have other questions for me! I look forward to
working with someone from the Design team on this!

Can we please apply the quick fix for the skin on
https://publictest6.fedoraproject.org/zikula mentioned below (at the start
of the last paragraph - fixing the image and/or the css) since I don't
believe this will impact our ability to do a better, longer-term solution
later?
From Sakis Samaras:
...the images are a bit too slow during first download.
When displaying "block sizes" via "Web Developer " add-on you will find
that a lot of not strictly required div tags are generated. This leads to
a generic slow down since all DIV tags have to be processed by DOM parser
also.
The quick fix may be to fix both the image itself (since the actual image
is a fragment of Fedora Logo that can be re-sized or changed to the
appropriate
https://publictest6.fedoraproject.org/zikula/simonstestimage.jpg ) and/or
the css that indicates that the div size is 80X120px and a -10px top-left
offset the image is 60X100 +10px padding.

We need a banner image for the one page release notes for F13:

Here's how it fit into the page:

I am not sure if the svg source for the banner is available somewhere, but
that would probably make this task relatively easy - it would be a matter
of swapping out the central image for another one that represents the
slogan, "Rock It."
We need this, ideally, before May 10th, which is when Ambassadors start
getting briefed with the F13 marketing materials.

First of all: The mockups looking very good so far.
Here some thoughts so far:
Can you use a single font like Comfortaa and not two different ones?! I'm
not shure, but can you review the colors of the Logo-Icons, I think there
are a bit out of our colorrange (see
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_set_CMYK_color_on_a_design_for_printi…
).
And now to your questions from above...
- What message should it convey?
Well, it should punctuate Blogentrys, pressarticles, FWN articles where a
Podcast or a vidcast is present.
- What contents should be on the logo for A) your project B) in general.
It should be a general one (the one from above fits allmost perfectly!).
- What text should be displayed.
As you pointed out "Fedora Podcast" maybe looks fine. I'm not shure about
the "Weekly News" part, because it also can be an addition.
For the Fedora Weekly News podcast in german I will use that, but if there
is also a general one where the middle line could be exchanged that would
be nice I think...
- Do you want a logo or a banner.
I think the Design-Guide konform usage would be the fedora logo with
"fedora" at the left bottom corner (see design Link above).
- What background do you want to use this on.
mostly it would be used at white background, but maybe sometimes it could
be printed on a grey or black T-Shirt ... but the one you made should be
fine for now.
- Should the logo/banner have a background?
nope.

Hello again,[[BR]]
due to the priority level for this ticket let my show you a first quick
mockup I made after a little bit of brainstorming.
I'm new to Fedora, in fact I just joined today. So after doing some
extensive research on the Fedora fonts, the logo guidelines as well as the
origin of the Fedora logo etc. I tried to merge your interests for Fedora
oriented versions of typical pod- & videocast icons with the philosophy of
the Fedora identiy itself.[[BR]]
http://www.redhat.com/magazine/014dec05/features/fedora/http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Logo/UsageGuidelines
mockups[[BR]]
[[Image(http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9141544/fedora/Ticket_0040/podcast.png)]]
[[Image(http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9141544/fedora/Ticket_0040/videocast.png)]][[…]]
Yes, there is a podcast (audio) and a videocast (video) version of the
logo/banner.
First of all I based all typo on the fonts Comfortaa and Cantarell. The
character is being developed from the Fedora logo font, regular text is
emphasized by caps, bolding and different sizing.[[BR]]
There is a basic grid underneath although nothing too exciting. However, I
did follow the spacing guidelines as mentioned in the usage guidelines.
I tried to keep Fedoras clean design approach and base my creation on
that. The Fedora colors outlined above have been used, being white, dark
blue and blue.
The emphasis on the Fedora logo type as well as the intoduction of the
buzz words pod- & videocast will hopefully let the viewer make a direct
connection with the icon.[[BR]]
I used the Fedora logo shape as the foundation as this rounded shape is
supposed to represent "Voice". I figured that this would connect nicely to
the meaning of the logo itself, thus giving the viewer an immersive
impression that the pod- & videocast is about Fedora content.
I then used a rather typical approach for the loudspeaker and the camera.
To connect to the "RSS" or "casting" theme I used iconized radio waves.
These waves have been alligned to the outline of the shape to round out
the icon.
Overall I avoided gradients to stay compatible with the contrast and color
regulations as mentioned in the usage guidelines. The logo/banner is still
scalable. It can be decreased in size for about 50% although I'd recommend
not less than 70% for better readability. If it has to be much bigger in
size I'd probably introduce some texturing.
If you feel that you need something drastically different and that my
approach does not convey your message well I would not mind to create
another, completely different, version with gloss and gradient if needed
and if possible. In fact I'd like to play with it a bit more myself but I
want to make sure that it's actually filling your request first and that
in a timely manner. I was surprised that this ticket is open since
2009.[[BR]]
Other than that I'd be tempted to re-work and finalize these versions as
SVGs after some input within the next days and weeks, depending on your as
well as the teams overall feedback and the urgency for these buttons.

Copy that. I took over the ticket.
Could you clarify what kind of design you would like to see please?[[BR]]
- What message should it convey?[[BR]]
- What contents should be on the logo for A) your project B) in
general.[[BR]]
- What text should be displayed.[[BR]]
- Do you want a logo or a banner.[[BR]]
- What background do you want to use this on.[[BR]]
- Should the logo/banner have a background?
You said you want a logo but all the examples you've given are basically
banners.
As for the lines provided in the SVG, we can't use those. They are too
close to the apple podcast logo.
http://www.apple.com/legal/trademark/guidelinesfor3rdparties.html[[BR]]
I do get your idea however and radio waves are totally fine.
I'd also split the videocast and podcast logo.
Until you reply I'll just work on a mockup showing my personal
interpretation. It will most likely be a mixture of the rescources that
are available until now plus the added typography for the fedora weekly
news podcast and a general podcasting logo approach.

#143: T-shirt for Fedora Summer Coding 2010

We'd like a Fedora Summer Coding 2010 t-shirt design. This is something
being given to the students, mentors, and organizers of the program this
year.
The design could be a straight-forward Fedora design. Other summer coding
programs make a new design for each season. We can choose to depart from
a standard Fedora T-shirt look, create something entirely new, or base it
on a solid existing design.
One important piece of information is that we will be renaming the program
by the end of the summer (August 2010.) This is because the program runs
in seasons other than summer and involves contributions other than code.
So, not knowing what the new name will be, we can choose to make a
timeless one-off design or something that is modular to fit the new name
for next season.
Here is the program information page:

== A few requirements ==
Sponsor logos in some location. JBoss Community is the other funding
sponsor, and there may be one additional company that sponsored a few
specific ideas. Transifex is a community sponsor, so their logo would be
next in a list.
Expect that the shirts will be sized from S to XXL.
I can interface with a Fedora designer and the folks from the JBoss
Community and Indifex, about getting logos in SVG format and other
brand/logo requirements.
