#281: Fedora presentation template in screen 16:9 and 16:10 formats

The beautiful standard Fedora presentation template located here is only
available in 4:3 screen format:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Presentations/Template
However, all laptops and projectors nowaday support 16:9 or 16:10 format,
and have done so for many years. Most do it natively. We could make
great use of that extra screen space in presentations if we had templates
for 16:9 and 16:10.
I'm calling this "Moderately Involved" severity because I have no idea how
much alignment work would be needed here -- it might be quite easy! The
priority is clearly "minor" because, well, no one's complained yet in 5
years. :-)

#327: Design changes and extensions to whatcanidoformozilla.org so we can use it

Hi,
We were discussing how we can ease the process for people that are looking
to join the Fedora community. http://whatcanidoformozilla.org/ looks
pretty awesome. Could folks from the design team take a look at it and
suggest modifications to it so we can have a similar instance up for
Fedora?
I'm not just asking for theme changes: we could change the entire work
flow really. For example, the mozilla site simply takes you to
documentation once it's found the area you fit in. For Fedora though, we'd
like to extend it so that it also helps the person get aboard. So, it
could walk people through things like:
- signing up for an FAS account
- applying to an FAS group
- subscribing to the concerned mailing lists and introducing themselves
(hyperkitty!)
- getting on to the IRC channel
- MORE?
I've forked the source code already:

Thanks! :)

#324: Stack Exchange Community promotion ad for Fedora Magazine

Like #306, but specifically to promote the magazine.
Requirements are:
* The image that you create must be 220 x 250 pixels
* Must be hosted through our standard image uploader (imgur)
* Must be GIF or PNG
* No animated GIFs
* Absolute limit on file size of 150 KB
For this, I think the Fedora Magazine logo (http://fedoramagazine.org/wp-
content/themes/ar2-d57c18d/images/logo.png) is a good, obvious start, but
I think it'd be nice to also have a few words explaining why one might
care. (And we need words for the tagline to be shown on mouseover, too.) I
cc'd the Fedora Marketing list for help with that.
I cc'd the marketing list for ideas on that.

Copr does not have an icon / logo. There is a nice one being used in the
copr badges. Could we use that as a logo?

Hi for the Fedora Magazine, on the featured post, is it possible to get a
few different pictures to keep the front page interesting. Also the
slideshow that is on the site could use some new images. The small logos
next to each post are what I am looking to get some new images for

There is an idea of a Talking points, which are short versions of the
Feature Announcments or Release Notes, suitable for Ambassadors.
See the link here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_19_talking_points
Explanation here:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Talking_points_SOP?rd=Talking_Points_SOP
And discussion there:
http://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/marketing/2013-March/014903.html
I think it could be great to easily produce short and catchy flyers with
this information.
Some thoughts on implementation:
* it should be a template, not a one-time thing
Idealy we shoud be able to just take random text in this form
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Template:Talking_points
then run some script and create a ready-to-print flyer. Thus it would be
easy to translate them or fill with some additional info.
Is it possible? Could we just create a latex file and fill it with text?
* it is release-oriented, thus we probably need a place for the release
banner
But other then that I would vote for more text and less pictures, since
content is important here.
* I see it as a flyer, thing to giveaway. But maybe we need a bigger
poster-size design as well?

#280: Fedora banners for use on facebook

Greetings everyone,
it would be great if we could have a few "generic" (non release-specific)
fedora banners to use as facebook covers. That would be a great way to
promote Fedora on facebook. Dimensions should be 851x315 as far as I am
aware, however submitting banners of higher resolutions should still be
acceptable. :)
Many thanks!
