We're currently working on a 'Getting Started with Fedora' guide. We're
planning to release it in Czech first as a pilot and if we get good
feedback from users we will translate it to English and make it a world-
wide effort.
We're finishing the content and we have a guy who will do typography, but
we'd like to ask for some attractive cover design. The guide will have the
A5 format and around 20 pages.
The project is discussed here: http://forum.fedora.cz/read.php?7,27316
(Czech only)
And the content is being created here:
https://docs.google.com/document/d/15I66tcW3nsnpRPycle8codptGTdpIv2xWBjez0e…
(again only in Czech)

#398: Logo design request for new project: AsciiBinder

= phenomenon =
A new open source project has been born out of the documentation system
that I originally developed for !OpenShift Origin. It is a system that
uses !AsciiDoc and git; it enables community-contributed docs while also
making it possible for a content manager to build and publish several
different distributions and versions of the docs from a single source.
I've named the project "!AsciiBinder" and I've secured the twitter handle
+ .com, .net and .org domains:
http://asciibinder.org/https://github.com/redhataccess/ascii_binder
= reason =
!AsciiBinder has proven to be a valuable documentation system for projects
that exist both as open source tools and commercially hardened products. I
want to evangelize the use of this tool for use by other organizations and
I believe that a huge part of acquiring mindshare is having both a strong
web presence and a ''consistent design language''.
= recommendation =
I am hoping to collaborate with a designer that can help me with a logo
for !AsciiBinder. This design will inform color and layout decisions for
the !AsciiBinder website as well.

I'd like to kindly ask for an application icon for the LiveUSB Creator and
then some icons for the Fedora spins/products which will be shown in the
menus of the application.
For a better image of how these will be utilized, please consult
https://github.com/gnome-design-team/gnome-mockups/blob/master/USB-boot-
creator/usb-boot-creator-degnomified.png .
* Deadline
* Not solid
* Size requirements in pixels if applicable
* Product logos should be 64, though it would be best to have bigger
sizes for hiDPI screens. Application icon should be of standard size
(don't know what it is exactly).
* If this is a logo or icon for an application
* What application is this for?
* Fedora LiveUSB Creator
* Brief description of what the application does
* It writes a Fedora installation disk image on a portable drive (like
USB flash sticks)
* Packager or developer contact information (IRC nick + email + wiki
profile page link)
* lmacken(a)redhat.com is the original author
* mbriza(a)redhat.com is implementing the new design
* If this is for an icon, please indicate if you need desktop icons or web
application icons.
* Desktop icons.

= phenomenon =
There does not seem to be a package for the results of this vote:
https://apps.fedoraproject.org/nuancier/results/3/
traditionally packaged as an "backgrounds-extras" package
Referenced here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F22_Artwork
and here: http://karl-tux-stadt.de/ktuxs/?p=4744
= reason =
Unknown - not sure why these have not been made available as a package.
= recommendation =
Release package containing extra wallpapers for f22 as voted for in the
nuancier app.
