Just sent email to Martin & Jiri to clarify how to handle pre-release
versions:

Hi Martin and Jiří,
I had a question for you about the Fedora feature
(
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/FedoraMediaWriterAsPrimaryDownload...)
to make Fedora Media Writer the primary downloadable
for Fedora Workstation. (I'm working on the design
of the new download page with robyduck (cc'ed).)
I noticed the feature has a 'due date' of F25
Beta, but I was wondering how you envision this
feature working with prerelease versions of
Fedora specifically. I ask because it seems
Fedora Media Writer does not provide prerelease
versions of Fedora. So for F25 beta, which of
the scenarios below is what you were thinking?
1) Go to
getfedora.org/workstation/download,
see that the main download button provides Fedora
Media Writer, and this version will set you up
with Fedora 24 Final. If you want to test the
pre-release, you have to download a separate
pre-release ISO, download Fedora Media Writer,
and load the ISO into Fedora media writer
using the 'other images' ooption.
2) Go to
getfedora.org/workstation/download,
see that the main download button provides
Fedora Media Writer, and this version will
set you up with Fedora 24 Final. If you want
to test the pre-release, there is a separate
vesrion of Fedora Media Writer that you can
download that will install F25 prerelease
(eg F25 beta) for you.
I think we can do #1 now without issue,
but #2 would involve changes to Fedora
Media Writer to handle pre-release images, right?
