Okay, here's a redesign of the Prague Astronomical Clock. :) The
inner
circle is the shape of the Fedora bubble here, with the Fedora logo in the
center and the Flock conference name around the edging. The outer circle's
edging could have the dates of the conference (and maybe should say
Prague, Czech Republic around the lower right outer rim.)

A couple thoughts::
- I don't know what position would be appropriate for the time the
conference
is being held. Does anybody know what the clock face looks like
right now? (Should be closer to what it would look like in August than a
random guess.) But the other issue is because of the shape of the Fedora
logo, the inner circle really could only work on the right side of the
outer circle.
- We could make this more complex by adding statue designs around it
like the real
clock. It has apostles and skeletons and animals. Maybe we
do pandas and anacondas and beefy miracles??? (Any other Fedora
characters? :) ) Or maybe this makes it too complex.
- This is a really heavy modification. I"m hoping with some of the
detailing
- like the metal rims around each of the circles and the arcs in
the center of the larger circle - that it'll still read as a variation of
the astronomical clock?? I know it's hard to tell in a rough sketch like
this too.
The last point is a bit of my concern as well.
But the idea is pretty - I was thinking, the Fedora bubble could be used
as a pointer to where the clock is pointing, although we might have to
remove the F inside in that case.
I was imagining a modern version of the clock - maybe the space between
the August 6-9 and the bubble itself (currently filled with some kinda
strokes) could be filled with the patterns from the Fedora.next logo idea
pattern?
