F11 Release Events Flyers
by Francesco Ugolini
Hi,
I now it's a little bit late to ask for this. We set this in the our
task list, but for a reason or another, we haven't pushed it in the
right direction.
It's possible, using F11 theme to set up a F11 Release Event Flyer,
like it was done for F10?
Here the informations that could go there:
- Event Name (what)
- Place (where)
- Time and Date (when)
- Description (why)
Sure of your great patience.
Best regards

From the desk of Jim Whitehurst...

The URL above links to a wonderful note from Jim Whitehurst, President
and CEO of Red Hat, congratulating the community on the release of
Fedora 11. I think it's fantastic that Fedora gets such solid support
from the very top ranks at Red Hat, directly on the company's press
site. One thing that is always in the back of my head, as we work
through all the various release bits, is that I know on release day
Red Hat's CEO -- just like thousands of other people -- is going to
download Fedora and take it for a ride.
Although Jim singled out some specific areas in his blog that
immediately impressed him about Fedora 11, from our phone
conversations I know that he's very proud of the work every team in
Fedora does. He is genuinely passionate about Fedora, and that's due
to *your* superb efforts as part of our large extended family of
contributors.
Thanks to all of you for making this release such an incredible
experience. I hope you enjoy Fedora 11 too, and I'm very excited
about working with all of you on Fedora 12!

Thanks for your words!...

In fact, I'm working a long time with adobe master packages, corel and
quarkxpress, but now I'm working hard to adapt my design skills to FOSS
graphic tools, like gimp and inkscape... not difficult transition.
Confused just a little bit, because my first "insertion" here, I want to
prepare, step by step, some works and follow things that's happened in.
Thanks again and I'll try to do my best!

introduction
by blog@volodia.ro
I just try to integrate myself and to be contributor at Fedora Artwork project...
Just few words about my experience: I'm working for many years (more than 20) like designer in advertising, webdesign, DTP, video docu and advertising production for local TV stations...
I'm new at Fedora "space", but I like it and I want to do something like contributor, I want to learn more about Fedora...
I have a Fedora account, my CLA is complete...
What about the next steps for Artwork acceptance?...
Thanks!

a FUDCon Request
by Max Spevack
Hi design-team,
See attached (sample.jpg) for an idea of what I'm talking about.
printable area: 1000 x 2350 mm + 5 mm surround cutting
visible area: 1000 x 2260 mm
We're making 5 of these for FUDCon Berlin, LinuxTag, and for future
usage everywhere.
1 for each of our Foundations
1 of the Fedora logo
Gerold tells me that he has everything he needs for the 4 foundations,
but that what we are lacking is the appropriate logo graphic in a
vectorable format.
Is it possible for someone to help us out?
Thanks,
Max
