Supplemental Wallpaper F18

Hi, For F17 we had no supplemental wallpapers, because noone wrangled them. I will do that for F18 and will announce it on monday. https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/F18_Artwork/Submissions/Supplemental_Wallp... According to the schedule from Jaroslav http://jreznik.fedorapeople.org/schedules/f-18/f-18-design-tasks.html the submission period should be already started and end on 30th of August. But I think its also doable until 5th of September, I have spoken with Jaroslav about that. I have also spoken with Martin, he will package the wallpapers when we have them selected. br gnokii

F18-Wallpaper Attempt (Nebulae/Osmo Concept)

Hi designers So i found time yesterday to explore the Nebula/Osmo concept from our hackfest after addressing some backlogs of paperwork. Its interesting what can emerge from 12hours of experimentation. First off, I decided to base my variation on a subtle joke. After all its 'Spherical Cow'. Ever seen one of those? So what if all that represents the cow is the udders (hehehehe)???. I know, some weird imaginations and iterating on that could get messy depending on your state of mind. Just take it like you see it ... I borrowed from the common cartoon idea of cows being cowbows and the udders being the machine guns. These cows (udders) are floating in space shooting at each other ... the vacuum is populated by sprays of bullets (you know what now :-) ). Hello, Just wanted to introduce myself to the list and hope to contribute to the design-team. While I'm not a graphic artist I do have experience at website and art design through my day job for the past 20 years. I have quite a bit of experience with Gimp (use to compile it to run it back in the slackware days) and Inkscape and use both professionally and personally daily. While I don't have a super amount of time I figured I might be able to contribute. I also have a wallpaper to contribute and I'm not sure how. Fedora 18 Wallpaper Test: Bokeh!

Hello pandas! So, as many of you know I have been trying to make something with bokeh, I don't know if this technique will be good for a wallpaper but I guess at least would work for a supplemental one. Here are some tests (the first ones and some that I did tonight) first idea: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tatadbb/7626868336/in/photostream/ Fedora mockups: (is a single link but with several test at comments, so pls check them out... easier on a single link) http://www.flickr.com/photos/tatadbb/7728832276/in/photostream/ Now, here is the thing, I guess we could do something with a subject using the bubbles as background. what do I mean as subject? well check this pic: http://www.flickr.com/photos/tatadbb/7617676764/in/photostream/ I an do a lot of shapes for bokeh and add technically any color, but I guess will be nice to use the bokeh in a more meaningful way, probably a hand blowing those bubbles, a figure, a plant... you name it. Call for help with fedora-logos

Hello, The fedora-logos package contains a grub2 theme. This theme is referenced in the grub2 package. The grub2 package expects the background art for grub to display at boot to be called "fireworks.png" but the fedora-logos package calls it "backgrounds.png". Please see bug 840179[1] for reference. Can someone with fedora-logos commit access please change the file name from "backgrounds.png" to "fireworks.png"? This affects F17 and higher. I attempted to gain commit access, but Tom denied me. Hello Everyone, Are you (or do you know someone who is) a webdesigner who wants to contribute to the Forge website design layout and strategy of the content ? We are looking for serious proposals, since that while this is a fun task, it does take time and collaboration.
