Fedora swag!
by Ryan Lerch
Hi all,
Has anyone got any ideas of Fedora / Flock merch that we could get made
with the view of possibly selling it at flock?
we need ideas of stuff that will sell, so obscure stuff like fedora
branded dog collars should be avoided.
a few ideas i had were:
* Mugs
* Laptop Skins
* Lanyards
* USB drives
cheers,

[Glittery] Do we retain the old login model?
by Sarup Banskota
Hello everyone,
I was just trying out authentication via OpenID. Shall I completely replace
the old model with just OpenID, or is there a reason for us to retain the
older model along with OpenID?
Seems like there is an SReg option wherein a new user who hasn't ever
signed up can just sign in directly with the OpenID credentials, and the
app can be programmed to fetch his/her info and directly set up a new
account. I find the idea quite hassle free and am in favor of this, unless
you have any other thoughts.

4F flyer SVG source - new colored one
by Zoltan Hoppar
Hi,
I have played with colors, and I thought I can make an new and
beautiful 4F template, that only needs print and run to event. What I
have done, is I have taken the template of Ade Malsasa Akbar, and
completely reworked. I have little bit re-thinked, and tried to see as
a brand new tri-folder flyer.
I tried to keep it simple, but I have stucked, as I don't know what to
put onto the backside of the paper. Perhaps, this is something that
can be a new flyer for ambassadors, but needs to be finished - maybe
someone who would like to pick up - here you go, you can take it. I
still wearing training wheels for inkscape, but I think this can be a
completely fresh air.
HTH,
Zoltan
PS: If you have opinion, don't hold it back, I would like to drop the
training wheels as soon as possible.

Well, I raised the same question in the ticket - I'd say it's an
intended behaviour - it's better to show nothing than mix of your
two languages. For F19 - it's too late to do anything with this, some
sort of automation in place would be needed to generate language
specific variants.
One possibility is to have at least some set of banners without
any text that has to be translated - but ad without text? Not sure.

f19 Website carousel banners
by Ryan Lerch
Hi all,
I just opened a pair of tickets in the fedora design queue for two of
the website banners for Fedora 19.
https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/277
https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/276
From a marketing perspective, we need to know what the featured spin /
remix will be, and what the featured feature will be.
In f18, we had anaconda as the featured feature, and KDE as the featured
spin.
A few ideas is to target "makers" with this release and go with pidora
as the featured remix, and 3d printing as the feature.
Another good candidate for the feature is openshift origin. Is there a
spin targeted at developers that might pair well with openshift origin?
Discussions are currently taking place in the tickets above, and
marketing input would be greatly appreciated!
thanks from the design team,

Fedora 19 installation 'Ad Banners'
by Jaroslav Reznik
Hi!
Adam pointed out that some of the installation 'Ad Banners' are not
very appropriate for Fedora to be shown to users [1] and Spot confirmed
in the bug that HAL one is just placeholder. So we have two options - to
remove at least HAL one (or maybe even the Beefy one) or try to create
new ones before the release (and we don't have much time...).
Another question is - and it's really up to Design and Marketing - do we
want to block on shipping a new banners/or removal of the inappropriate
ones (or even better - do Design/Marketing think it's an issue at all)?
I've already created Design Team ticket [2].
