Re: Fedora Magazine images
by Luya Tshimbalanga
Be in mind Montserrat and Roboto Slab are already in repository. If Molot and Grand Hotel fonts are missing, I will submit a packaging review and include them in Design Suite group.

Hi all,
Just a heads up that there are now a few tickets open in the fedora-magazine-images pagure repo that are open for folks if they want to have a go at one of the upcoming featured images for Fedora Magazine.
The README in the repo has an outline of the format that we need the images in, so feel free to jump in and have a go at one or two :)

Reminder for Wallpaper F25
by S.Kemter
Hi,
Back in Westford at FAD we had a short discussion about how, to move on
with future designs for Fedora itself. We stuck since the removal of the
code names and struggle to come up with something in time.
We had yesterday, already the first Alpha Release Readiness meeting and we
have no idea about the wallpaper yet. That is dangerous as we rely for a lot
of graphics on this design.
At the FAD we came up with the idea, to use a system just internally for us
using inventors from A-Z. So we start this time with A
There is a list in wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_inventors
which is unfortunately shorter then the german one
https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liste_von_Erfindern
For this time, I will make three suggestions
Archimedes, gives as a lot to play with Symetrie of Patterns, look into
tiled clones in Inkscape, archimedical spiral, circles and so on
Edwin Howard Armstrong (FM Radio), we could play with frequency curves
al-Battani (astronomical guides, calculation of the sun year, sinus rate)
gives us some things like astronomy, starts, calendar and similar to play
with.
For this time, I just made a small google form to find out where to go:
https://goo.gl/forms/kUezxe9cedtHqpX62
For the future we might change that a bit and start searching end of the
actual release looking for the next one.
We have next thursday next meeting for the team, I suggest everybody makes
his choice until then and we could start coming up with ideas during the
meeting or we shorten it up and make again an hackfest in IRC

Re: Request about your contribution
by Catalin
I understand you very well.
Yes! I think the last meeting has set most of the tickets to the
fedora design team members.
Any meeting changes can also put on fedora design list if I don't online.
Most of the members follow the the rules fedora design and give some
help is not wrong.
Is one ticket has a legal issue with python logo and this will need to
fix by the design team - I don't remember the ticket, also any problem
can be put on table.
If you have some concern then you can loot to this ticket ( see:
https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/421 where for example is
one reference to: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Logo/UsageGuidelines
also some changes.
Yes. Summary of meeting can help us. - "the goal of understanding the
team's process for working on tasks."
You told me : "It creates confusion about who has taken the assignment."
Have you ? Do you see my ticket and what I need to do ? Can you help me?
https://fedorahosted.org/design-team/ticket/402
Any problem with my work can be solved by sending a mail to me and duffy.
Thank you for replay.

Self-Introduction: Jose Danzicourt
by Jose Danzicourt
Hi all!
Long time Fedora user (Began with Red Hat at '01) and this is my first time collaborating on an Open Source Project.
If you want to know more, I already told about me on the Marketing Team:
https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/marketing@lists.fedoraproje...
Speaking for the Design Team:
I am a Filmmaker/Photographer who uses only FOSS software at all stages of production.
GIMP, Inkscape, Kdenlive, Krita, Darktable, Scribus... I love them and use them all the time for home and work.
I would love to help with Graphics and Videos, the Fedora community is great and giving back is exciting!
The basic first steps is checking tickets and doing them right? Then later after a few, join the discussions from the team?
I read the team wiki and it's really good explaining that, but just to make sure.
I just want to say I first heard about the team with Máirín Duffy blog, I think in 2008-09, I was always amazed with the work she could do with Fedora and only FOSS software and this inspired me a lot, I even started using more Inkscape. So thanks Máirín! You are awesome.
It's really cool to now have the possibility to do the same to other people, working with you all.
So that's it, have a good day !

I can't make this meeting due to a prior commitment, and it'll be hard for Sirko bc it's 1 AM his time. Can anybody make this meeting? Basically you just speak up and give our status.

Join us on irc.freenode.net in #fedora-meeting for the Fedora 25 Alpha
Release Readiness Meeting meeting.
The meeting is going to be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 19:00
UTC. Please check the [FedoCal] link for your time zone.
We will meet to make sure we are coordinated and ready for the Alpha
release of Fedora 25 on Tuesday, August 23nd, 2016. Please note that
this meeting is going to be held even if the release is delayed at the
Go/No-Go meeting on the same day two hours earlier.
You may received this message several times, but it is by purpose to
open this meeting to the teams and to raise awareness, so hopefully
more team representatives will come to this meeting. This meeting
works best when we have representatives from all of the teams.

Supplemental Wallpaper F25
by S.Kemter
Hi,
I created the submission/election for Fedora 25 Supplemental Wallpapers
today.
Submission will open on 1st of September and will be open until 10th of
October.
Voting phase will this time even a bit longer, I had the impression that we
had more votes as we had a longer phase for F24. It will open on 11th of
October and will be open until 23rd of October.
That gives time from 24th October to 2nd of November to package them.
