echo icon theme

I like using the echo icon theme with XFCE. However a while back gnome-themes 
was retired because it was orphaned for over 6 weeks and echo-icon-theme 
requires gnome-themes, so it isn't installable any more.

While echo-icon-theme doesn't seem to get any support these days, I'm 
wondering if I could keep it limping along for a while by changing 
the requires from gnome-themes to gnome-icon-theme, which is still available? 
And if it would be OK if I made that change? I'm not sure what from 
gnome-themes was needed, so I didn't want to go making a change that might 
not really work.

We're not really packagers on this list
(save for Luya :) - he might be 
able to help or advise?) so you might want to try checking who were the 
owners of gnome-themes or echo-icon-theme and reach out to them?

The fail to install bugs are assigned to Luya. He acknowoleded the F33 
bug and the F34 bug has only been open for a week.

I was just hoping that you guys remembered why the package dependency 
was there. Changing it to gnome-icon-theme would definitely allow it 
to install. But I'm worried it might be subtly broken.

It's probably best for me to wait for Luya to weigh in or fix the issue.

It seemed to work OK when I tested it. I suspect that all gnome-themes 
was being used for was to provide fallback icons and those would be 
provided by gnome-icon-theme.

I did builds for F33 and F34 that should show up in the next branched and 
rawhide composes. I set the bugs to modifed and will close them after 
the composes happen.
