Hello team,
The release name for Fedora 13 is Goddard [1] as quoted : "Since
Konstantin Tsiolkovsky was a rocket scientist, so is Robert H. Goddard".
With some research, theme will be based on these following categories:
- Rockets (propulsion, spacecraft) -
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rocket
- Space (based on Goddard Flight Center website) -
http://nasa.org/goddard
- Astrodynamics
I think rocketry is quite obvious: stars, space flight, rocket schematics.
Depending on the direction we will take with the distro in the near
future, I think a concept like "fedora: for your inner rocket scientist"
or "fedora: is not rocket science" would be fit (my *strong* preference
would be for the former).
Please submit ideas either on mailing list or wiki as long it is
related
to the quoted theme. You can use images from Nasa website free to be
modified [2]. Solar theme should not be considered because Fedora 10
Cambridge already used it.
That's not using a blue sun as the main element of the theme, but we can
go with stars, galaxies, nebulas, satellites, earth seen from space...
