Hi all! The Fedora Council has been doing roughly-monthly checkins with different Fedora teams and subprojects, and we'd be interested in hearing from Design. We've been doing these on Google+ [*], with a presenter with slides and stuff. It doesn't need to be long or very formal, but something more organized than an unstructured chat. It'd cover:
- the current state of the subproject - future plans - things the team needs from the rest of the project - any blockers we can help unblock - big resource requests?
Is anyone from Design interested in doing this? We use the Monday 17:00 UTC timeslot. October 12 is a US holiday (Indigenous Peoples' Day, at my house at least), but October 19 or 26th would be open.
* see council list for discussion on open source alternatives; hopefully in the not too distant future.

Hi Matthew,
I am willing to do the task. Monday October 19 will work fine nearly a week after the bi-weekly Design team meeting with enough needed information.

Hi,
Luya, I have spoken yesterday with Mo about this. So its not that nobody of us has noticed Matts mail and did take care. If you look to your inbox, you will find a mail from mizmo asking for changing the meeting time, because Ryan and me are in totally different time zones now.
Thats one of the problems we have now, as I was in Europe I was a little the communication bridge between US and Asia, when it comes to our team members. But now I am in Asia by myself so its harder to communicate.
I have in generally no problem to stay out of bed for a meeting, I have done this in the past and I will do it in the future. When the council is fine not to see me, as I have right now no laptop with cam in it, I can do it. 12th is here an officially holiday also but would be fine with me, especially 13th and 14th are also holiday and when I stay up in the night I can sleep longer ;) But 19th is fine to.

I messaged Matthew off-list when he initially sent this out because of some personal scheduling conflicts, but realize I probably should have sent something out to the list at the same time to help coordinate. So I apologize for a bit of confusion around the logistics of the presentation thus far.
I would like to suggest that we figure out what we want to share with the council by starting a discussion at our next meeting this coming Tuesday, October 6 at 4 PM UTC. From there maybe we can coordinate better logistically who can present and at what time. I just spoke with Matthew briefly on IRC and he said could be possible to move the time of the meeting as well (there isn't any way I could make the current slot, for instance.)
Does that make sense?

Let's get that discussion on October 6. I will be available at that time. On Sep 30, 2015 10:46 AM, "Máirín Duffy" duffy@fedoraproject.org wrote:

Could we potentially do this over IRC on Nov 2 or Nov 9? We fall back to EST here by that point, and the hour earlier shift makes it slightly easier for me to do.

Yes we can. Whichever is better for you!

Nov 2 might be safer :) Let's plan on then, then! :)

Cool — I'll put it on the schedule and promote it.
We had this meeting last week; I will follow up in a separate thread with the logs and a summary. Writing this email now to help debug something in hyperkitty. :)
