sendmail
by Ray Strode
Hi guys,
I'm sure some of you have been following the fedora-devel-list discussion about removing sendmail from the @core comps group. After all the discussion, it ended up getting moved to @standard instead of removed completely (to be revisited in a later release). See https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/devel/2013-July/186796.html. Of course, @standard still gets pulled in to most of the spins, so that means sendmail will get pulled in out of the box for most spins still.
We can fix it for the desktop spin, at least, so I've done that here for now:
https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/spin-kickstarts.git/commit/?id=c79eede0...
Of course, we can revert that change down the line when it finally gets moved out of @standard.
Just a heads up!

phasing out gconf migration scripts
by Matthias Clasen
The bulk of the gconf->gsettings migration in GNOME application has
happened in f15, when GNOME 3 was introduced. Since then, we've been
installing .convert files in /usr/share/GConf/gsettings/ and running the
gsettings-data-convert tool at every login.
I think it is time to declare the migration done, and phase out
those .convert files. I'd like to propose this as a goal for f20.
