F29 - Garbage-named directory created in home after login to GNOME
by Milan Crha
Hi,
I've an up-to-date Fedora 29 as of today morning CET. I realized that
whenever I login to GNOME (on Wayland) a new directory in my home is
created, but its name is just garbage (nautilus claims: "invalid
encoding"). When I log in to a text console it's not created, only when
I log to GNOME.
I didn't find any bug for it, thus I'd file it myself, but:
a) I do not know which component to choose;
b) I even do not know how to debug this, those directories are empty;
c) due to an often lack of response in bugzilla, and due to a),
I do not want to blindly guess and hope that someone will notice.
Thus I chose to write here first.
Any advice, please? I'm still willing to do the paper work, that's all
fine.
Bye,
Milan

Can't make WG meeting time
by Paul Frields
With some added $dayjob obligations taking over my morning calendar
time, I find myself unable to make the WG meeting time on Mondays at
0900 US-Eastern. I'm considering whether in good conscience I should
step back from the WG, and allow someone with more availability to
take my place.
In the meantime, I wanted to give a heads up that I can't make the
January 14 or following slots. I'm not asking the whole WG to shift on
my account. I recall how few timeslots were workable for the majority.
If there's someone on the list who is eager to throw a hat in, please
respond here.
