OpenH264 is of limited use because it works for WebRTC only. It cannot
play MP4 videos. Someone from Red Hat was assigned to work on this at
one point, but I guess that got deprioritized?

It would probably be higher priority if we had some feasible path to
supporting AAC audio. Being able to play the video but not the audio is
not going to be very useful. I have not heard any hint that a solution
to this is on the horizon, so I'm not very optimistic.

Actually play nothing is better than video only as it is easier to figure out what's going on.
