We've promised QA and Rel Eng that August is earliest. I don't know if that
means we'll skip a Gnome release entirely or what. Post F21, getting back to
better alignment with the Gnome schedule seems useful. We had been kind of
drifting away from that anyway.
Btw. any input on scheduling from WGs appreciated - we need to know how much
time is needed but for F21, it's going to be compromise based on WGs and
other teams needs. GNOME schedule was always part of initial schedule but
not the only part - especially with the way how we try to plan releases
some flexibility is needed.
In the future, this might mean that cloud/server/workstation end up
on
different schedules, but that's going to take a lot of coordinated planning.
Yes, with products, Fedora at itself is not GNOME only thing and this could
let WGs to adjust schedules. But it's not only about coordination but also
tooling and automation to allow multiple release out of sync. It's pain to
release two pretty much well-defined releases now.
Could you please draft the schedule overlap with GNOME release for F21,
as an initial point we can take a look? I can't promise anything but...
