Elad I appreciate the quick response but using gnome-tweak-tool has no
effect on font-rendering in applications like web-browsers and doesn't fix
the problem.

Just change the hinting to Slight in gnome-tweak-tool. I think Slight
hinting should be the default. Without it, fonts looks fuzzy.
