Well, not everybody wants to have encrypted stuff. Some people prefer quick boot rather then having to type a password after every boot. Some even prefer to unlock their computer completely.

It should be based on free choice to have one's disk, partition, or home directory encrypted and encryption should be easy to switch off.

It can be switched on by default, but the option to switch off must be kept!
