Hi all,
We currently have three F37 release blocker issues against gnome-calendar:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2130964 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2130977 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2130981
Right now there isn't any progress on fixing any of them, and we have about a week to decide whether to stick with gnome-calendar for F37, or remove the package from the install media (something that the Workstation Working Group is keen to avoid).
If any developers can spare some time to investigate any of these issues, it would be a big help!
Thanks,
Allan

Hi, I had a look and made some proposals upstream. I guess these three bugs can be ignored now (once someone backports the changes and so on).
Nonetheless, there is other issue, with handling of changes of the recurring events, which I'm not going to dive in. Bye, Milan

I've backported your fixes. Thank you!

Milan to the rescue!

We still have two outstanding blockers for Calendar:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2132769 https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2132772
Help from anyone to get these fixed would be a big help.
We're anticipating that the early target date will be missed, so we have about a week to fix these issues or face the choice of whether to pull Calendar from the install image.

There is also still an outstanding Contacts blocker: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2130661
and the ibus-typing-booster thing: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2131837 https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/-/issues/5930
I'll ping Mike to see if there's any further progress on that one.

I've asked about this upstream and we might be able to get some help there. Anything we can do downstream would be good though.

Niels is looking into that.

I heard that Mike had a fix, but yes it would be good to follow up.

Since changing calendars back and forth "fixes" it, I did a quick workaround that essentially does that under the hood:

I posted a fix for this one too, but it's a little icky. It's only slightly improving a chunk of code that already has HACK!!! in a comment above it. We'll see what upstream says :-)
