DevAssistant on OS X 10.9.2
by Peter Bočan
Hello guys, I want to share with you a procedure, how to set up devassistant on OS X 10.9.2 (Python 2.7.3) :
- Download & run as superuser: https://raw.github.com/pypa/pip/master/contrib/get-pip.py
(wget https://raw.github.com/pypa/pip/master/contrib/get-pip.py && sudo python ./get-pip.py)
- sudo pip install progress
- sudo pip install jinja2
- clone a git repo.
- python ./da.py crt python lib -n demo fails with “ERROR: sed: 1: ‘README.rst’: invalid command code R.”
-R switch is not available on OS X’s sed (!) Needs to be resolved but everything else seems to be ok.
I hope it’s complete and I want to thank Miro Hroncok for his contribution.

da task pr (as in Pull Request)
by Miro Hrončok
Since there are lots of questionmarks in the air about what should task
assistants do, and the docs say:
$ da task <TODO:NOTHING YET>
I have an idea. An assistant that would create a Github Pull Request.
The workflow would be:
$ da prep custom --gh-fork hroncok --url git@github.com:spam/eggs.git
$ git checkout -b cool
$ do stuff
$ git commit -a
$ ...
$ git push -u origin cool
$ da task pr origin/cool upstream/master
I guess some part of this would need to be implemented in DA.

Adjusting 0.9.0 Feature Set and Schedule
by Bohuslav Kabrda
Hi all,
since the work on DevAssistant package index is taking more time than I'd like (that doesn't mean you're slow, Miro :) - it's just that we should release DevAssistant more often than we do), I'd like to propose that we do one more release in the old scheme - that means with bundled set of assistants. I'd also like to propose that we postpone features connected to the index to 0.10.0 - these are "appendable snippets" and "dependency versioning" (and obviously implementation of the packaging format and the index itself).
The named features are just taking too long and I don't want to wait for another month or so. Let's pronounce that what we have now (or tomorrow) is 0.9.0 alpha, so that we get the latest bugfixes and improvements out and let's release 0.9.0 final in the beginning of May. After that, I'll try to propose some future schedule for 0.10.0 and 0.9.1
Sounds fine?
