Gajim is now GPLv3 only

Apologies for the belated notice. Gajim's license had been changed from GPLv2 to GPLv3 when Gajim 0.12 alpha1 was released. I have committed the change in CVS now which will be available with gajim-0.12.3-1. Mass rebuild for Fedora 12

Fedora Release Enginerering is going to be starting a mass rebuild this Thursday, July 28th, for the following Fedora 12 features: - XZ RPM Payloads - x86 Architecture Support Just as in the Fedora 11 mass rebuild, if you'd like to opt out for your packages, check a file into your package's devel/ branch, named 'noautobuild'. This file should contain a short rationale of why you wish to do the build yourself. Note that if you do not do a rebuild during the timeframe before Alpha, one will be done regardless of the presence of this file. Also note that delta RPMS will be disabled in rawhide for the duration of this mass rebuild; delta rpms across payload format changes in RPM are not useful. Are all your Fedora 12 Features Where They Should be?

Thanks to everyone who helped pull together status last week. Nine days remain before Fedora 12 Feature freeze. No more features can be added after 2009-07-28. Please do a quick check to make sure your feature page is where you expect it to be. CVS ctrl-c issue

Hi, we have just made some modifications to the version of cvs on cvs.fedoraproject.org that should help to prevent ctrl-c from killing notification mails at times. If anybody notices any breakage that resulted from this, please let us know. Also, if anybody has previously been able to reproduce the ctrl-c issue, we would appreciate it if you could test and make sure that it is no longer possible with the current setup. Audacious 2.1 coming - SONAME change

Audacious 2.1 is going to land in Rawhide soon. src.rpm updates have been comitted to Fedora package cvs/devel already. Compared with 1.5.1 this new final release changes the SONAME version of essential libraries within the audacious-libs package. Dependencies will need to be rebuilt. Plugins may need a minor update to sync with modified plugin API structures.

It's that time of the release cycle again, to purge the orphans before we get to feature freeze. Any unblocked orphans will be purged by the 28th of this month. relicensing of Fedora wiki/docs (OPL => CC BY SA)

This is a policy and licensing change that affects anyone who edits the wiki or otherwise contributes to Fedora documentation. The consensus of the Docs Team, with full Legal support, is to relicense wiki and documentation from the deprecated OPL 1.0 to the CC BY SA 3.0 license. This move brings Fedora on to the mainland of free and open content; tens of millions of pieces of content and media are licensed under the CC BY SA. Our goal is to do the switchover in about 2 weeks (22 July). Because of the larger number of contributors involved (thousands), it is too much effort to contact each contributor (copyright holder) to gain permission to relicense. Instead, we are enacting a clause of the contributors license agreement that grants the Fedora Project permission to relicense (sublicense.) Questions? Discussion?
