Fedora 32 release-blocking deliverables
by Ben Cotton 04 Feb '20

04 Feb '20

The list of release-blocking deliverables for Fedora 32 is available[1]. If there are any changes that should be made that were part of an already-accepted Fedora 32 Change proposal, please let me know. If an edit is required that was not part of an accepted Change proposal, please file a FESCo ticket[2]. Please note that this list does not include non-blocking deliverables. List of long term FTBFS packages to be retired in a week
by Miro Hrončok 03 Feb '20

03 Feb '20

Dear maintainers. Based on the latest fail to build from source policy, the following packages will be retired from Fedora 32 approximately one week before branching (2020-02-03). Policy: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails… The packages in rawhide were not successfully built at least since Fedora 30. This report is based on dist tags. Packages collected via: https://github.com/hroncok/fedora-report-ftbfs-retirements/blob/master/ftbf… If you see a package that was built, please let me know. If you see a package that should be exempted from the process, please let me know and we can work together to get a FESCo approval for that. There is an open exception request for shim-unsigned-aarch64 and shim-unsigned-x64, but it has not yet been approved -- if it gains no negative votes within 1 day, it will be: https://pagure.io/fesco/issue/2331 If you see a package that can be rebuilt, please do so. Mass rebuild status
by Kevin Fenzi 01 Feb '20

01 Feb '20

Greetings. Aside from a few stragglers, the mass rebuild is complete. However, we ran into a number of builds that failed at the start of the mass rebuild due to some problems with s390x builders. Due to that and also to reduce the chance of any failed builds being caused by builder or network issues, I am resubmitting the builds that failed the mass rebuild again. There are 1477 of those. I expect we will merge the mass rebuild side tag into rawhide tomorrow. See https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/mass-rebuild/f32-failures.html and https://kojipkgs.fedoraproject.org/mass-rebuild/f32-need-rebuild.html for detailed lists of what needs rebuilding and what failed. kevin
