RFC: Fedora signing server design
by Miloslav Trmač
Hello,
I'm working on a signing server for Fedora that stores keys and
passphrases without making them directly accessible to everybody who
should be able to sign data with Fedora keys, and I'd appreciate a
review of the design.
The current design is at https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/User:Mitr , with
detailed protocol specifications linked at the end of the page.
Thanks,

Translation packagers: Rebuild before devel freeze
by Dimitris Glezos
Reminding maintainers of Fedora-translatable packages to issue a build
before the Development Freeze of tomorrow, 28/10, in order to have all
translations submitted until the translation deadline of 21/10
included in Fedora 10 (otherwise our translator's hard work will go to
the gutter). If you haven't received any translations since the last
build, a rebuild is not necessary.
Feel free to drop an email to fedora-trans-list(a)redhat.com if you have
any questions.
Thanks for caring for translations*. (=

ViewVC has been split into viewvc/viewvc-httpd
by Bojan Smojver
Just a heads up that as of today, ViewVC has been split into viewvc
(which depends on webserver) and viewvc-httpd (which depends on
mod_python), in order to address bug #457691.
So, if you are running viewvc under Apache/mod_python on F8/F9, you'll
have to install viewvc-httpd package in F10 to get the same thing.

help required for thoggen
by Rakesh Pandit
http://thoggen.net/
Can we have it in fedora. It rips DVD and supports Ogg/Theora (supported).
Later on they are planning to add support to AVI/divx/mpeg4 And the
required gstream codecs are on Livna or RPMFusion
The program is very good and useful. So, I wanted it in.
I am not sure about whether it legally acceptable?
Comments ?

Evolution Junk Mail errors
by Mike Chambers
I asked before and someone else stated that they were seeing junk mail
errors as well. I removed evolution-bogofilter for the time beeing.
Any others seeing this as well? Wondering if I need to use a brand new
evolution settings from scratch instead of using backups all the time.,
and might not see the errors?

OpenOffice and go-oo
by Aidan Delaney
Dear all,
Has there been any discussion of why Fedora ships a relatively stock
(stock + 98 patches) OO.o rather than shipping go-oo? I must quickly
state that I'm not interested in starting a flamewar. I've seen the
extended feature set provided by go-oo such as the opengl slide
transitions and I wonder what the rationale for shipping stock+patches
is over shipping go-oo. Particularly when go-oo appears to contain a
superset of the Fedora OO.o patches.

Blocking bug in Bodhi
by Patrick Monnerat
Hi list,
There is a bug in Bodhi that prevents me to submit an update. I
submitted a bug report at https://fedorahosted.org/bodhi/ticket/253,
without reaction.
Here is the problem: after having submitted an update request for
ocspd-1.5.1-0.3.rc1.fc9, I wanted to alter this request using the web
interface: all tentatives leaded to "500 internal error". I thus decided
to cancel+delete the request, then recreate it. But re-creation is
impossible: when attempting it, error message "ocspd-1.5.1-0.3.rc1.fc9
update already exists!" is displayed, although the previous update
request has been deleted. When clicking on the link in the error
message, an empty list with message "There are no updates for
ocspd-1.5.1-0.3.rc1.fc9" is displayed.
As a consequence, I can't submit this update anymore. Please help !
Thanks in advance
