Test instances for Fedora Package Maintainers
by Kevin Fenzi
Greetings.
I've just finished setting up a new group of test machine instances for
package maintainers in the Fedora Infrastructure Private Cloud.
They now include ppc64 and ppc64le instances.
(We hope to add aarch64 before too long).
These instances should be faster and closer to repositories than
previous test instances, and require no special ssh config to use.
Please see:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Machine_Resources_For_Package_Maintai...
for more details and access information on all the available instances.
These instances can help maintainers duplicate problems or gather
information from Fedora versions they may not have handy.
Hope they help,
kevin

nodejs-* packages not honouring %nodejs_arches
by Dan Horák
Hi,
there seems to be a small number of nodejs-* packages that use a
hard-coded ExclusiveArch value instead of the %nodejs_arches macro or
they weren't rebuilt during the mass-rebuild.
nodejs-ansicolors
nodejs-ansistyles
nodejs-bson
nodejs-content-type
nodejs-defence
nodejs-grunt-contrib-connect
nodejs-highlight-js
nodejs-load-grunt-tasks
nodejs-load-json-file
nodejs-lockfile
nodejs-promises-aplus-tests
nodejs-readdirp nodejs-require-cs
nodejs-stylus
nodejs-supervisor
nodejs-tap
nodejs-testjs
nodejs-to-object-path
nodejs-type-is
nodejs-ultron
nodejs-ws
nodejs-mapnik-vector-tile
nodejs-mapnik nodejs-noptify
nodejs-tilelive-mapnik
^^ those might be false positives as mapnik is not available on big
endian platforms (ppc, ppc64, s390, s390x)
Could the nodejs team review and fix the packages? Or let me know they
can be all moved to %nodejs_arches and I will fix that.
Thanks

Builds not hitting rawhide
by Susi Lehtola
Hi,
it seems there's a snag in the rawhide buildroot update. My F24 and F25
buildroot overrides went into action ages ago, but rawhide still doesn't
have a package I built hours ago.
I notice that according to
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Releases/26/Schedule
f26 is supposed to branch tomorrow from rawhide, is the problem I'm
describing related to this?

initial-setup accepts weak passwords
by jcollin@redhat.com
Hi,
The initial-setup just after the installation of Fedora 25 (or any version) accepts weak passwords for root and the other users created after the installation. I tried the password 'a' and it accepted without any strict verification. Found this in Fedora 25, but I think it is the same for all versions, including Rawhide. Is this a bug ?
Thanks,
Jos Collin
