Re: Unresponsive Maintainer: Chitlesh Goorah

Chitlesh,
Just to confirm, you meant "Back in 2010 I mentioned that I could*n't*
continue as a fedora developer due to time constraints.", not how you wrote
it above?

Looking for maintainers of Bazaar / Breeze (bzr / brz)
by Miro Hrončok
Hello,
it seems that the current maintainers of Bazaar (bzr) are not likely interested
anymore in the package.
It is mostyl dead upstream, depends on Python 2 and brings a quite a stack of
required packages.
There is s Python 3 compatible fork called Breeze (brz).
I've prepared the spec file for Breeze, but I don't have interest in maintaining
it. Is there any volunteer to maintain Bazaar / Breeze?
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1737937
Thanks,

Fedora Workstation and disabled by default firewall
by Vitaly Zaitsev
Hello all.
Is it okay that firewall is completely disabled by default (opened all
ports 1025-65535) on Fedora Workstation?
I think that this is a major vulnerability and it must be fixed by
changing default zone to public.

powertop vs upower, troubleshooting battery remaining
by Chris Murphy
This is an hp spectre running Fedora 30 Workstation. On Fedora 29,
there was fairly close agreement between powertop and upower and the
time estimates were sane.
Something's wonky on Fedora 30 and I'm not sure where to begin
troubleshooting, although I posted a message on the upstream powertop
list.
This is what I'm seeing.
https://paste.fedoraproject.org/paste/3M7euUWnqZG07KKJQpRQ-w/raw
powertop says 108 hours remaining, upower first says 6.8 hours
remaining which is much more plausible, but then merely 4 minutes
later battery has gone from 93% to 77%, and to a 22 minute remaining
estimate. Really? One says the battery reports 268mW of discharge, the
other reports 61W discharge. Neither of those is possible.

round up of failing f31 (branched) images
by Kevin Fenzi
Hey folks.
Looking at the latest incomplete composes (remember: incomplete means at
least one non blocking image/thing failed to compose, but all blocking
items did compose) at https://pagure.io/releng/failed-composes/issues
If you want your spin/image in the beta, you will need to propose a fix
in packages or fedora-comps or fedora-kickstart pr and then make sure
there is a bugzilla bug for the issue and propose that as a FE.

Debates/back and forths
by Danny Lee
Hi all,
I'm new to the devel list and fedora in general, but i was wondering if
these kind of back and forths between a few people is a frequent
occurrence. I came to Fedora to volunteer what little spare time I have
to help the Fedora project in some little ways. I don't feel that should
include wading through dozens of emailed back and forths between
individuals who seem to have strong, immovable opinions, I just don't
have time for that.
Is there any chance there is a moderated list or discussion group about
current project tasks and issues rather than debates about how to do
things? Or perhaps, a way to turn off certain threads or block certain
posters?
Thanks for your time and info you can provide.
