re cpu vendor. Yeah.. just ignore that for now, I've completely
horked up the query it uses to get that stuff. I should probably
comment it out.
It would be interesting to get the real AMD vs. Intel numbers :-)

Someone mentioned that speed was getting reported as cpuspeed reports
it, not maximum.
I can confirm this. A dual dual-core 5140 2.33GHz system gets reported :
numCPUs: 4
CPUSpeed: 1999
As it is currently running at 2GHz indeed (ondemand governor).
