I think it's time for me to activate.. My name is Przemo, I'm long time
redhat/PLD/fedora user with some experience in packaging. debugging,
etc. I keep building FreeCAD since fedora 20, I also maintain FreeCAD
nightly builds on COPR [1]. I experienced first hand all the problems
Richard mentioned above and more. Richard's "rant" is a bit broader
that this, but setting up automated FreeCAD tests would alleviate the
problem and give heads up about upcoming issues. The problem with
PySide didn't show up during compilation, but FreeCAD self-tests
captured it. FreeCAD self-test are currently run on every commit on
travis-CI system (debian/ubuntu based) and it works great.
Any help would be appreciated. Are you already a packager or do you need a sponsor?
I looked through the CMake config for testing and found a Test target but it didn't seem to do anything, nor is there a "make test" or "make check" target in the Makefile.
