So this is now a significant difference between AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux, which were previously basically two of the same.
Rocky Linux is intent on keeping 1:1 compatibility by obtaining RHEL sources through undocumented (by RH), but apparently legal (at least according to Rocky), tricks:
