what other X apps have blinking cursors. did I miss a terminal
emulator of merit.?
Yes. The Xfce "Terminal" package.
In Terminal, you would have to edit the terminalrc file directly to
enable blinking cursor. It's not a pref thats exposed to the users via
the preference menu.
All the other X based terminal emulators I just installed default to
no blink.
As does Terminal.
