I was not sure what f-e-k is but after reading the bugs you have it backwards.
the packaging tools are all python2 currently due to at teh least koji not
being ported to python3. fedora-packager does not pull in fedora-easy-karma,
but fedora-easy-karma uses parts of fedora-packager. yum will be required for
many years yet due to mock, additionally koji imports yum, that will have to
change in order for koji to move to python3. If people want to help get
everything ported and running on python3 the help will be more than welcome.
however yum will still get pulled in until epel7 is EOL.
Dennis
I suppose the dependency on yum could be demoted to a Recommends in Fedora for
those packagers who have no interest in EPEL and really don't want yum
installed on their system for some reason.
