Running an i386 app under compatibility, especially one with a large
library stack like Firefox, adds noticeable startup lag and memory
bloat, as an entirely separate i386 version of all the libraries has to
be loaded.
My personal preference would be to install both versions under x86_64,
with the 64bit version the default one, and a plugin like the 'open page
in ie' windows users use to access the 32 bit version.
That is, until major plugins like flahs are available for 32 bit.
