macOS comes with calendar, address book, and I assume email.
Windows 10 comes with email, address book, and calendar.
I haven't used it in a long time but I would be surpised if Gnome
doesn't include those apps as well.
iOS comes with email, address book, calendar and I assume Android does
as well.
Thus it would be very unusual for a desktop not to include those
applications.
Yes, some users will have their own preferences. But a surprising
number of people simply use whatever the OS/Desktop comes with.
Now that said, it was discussed that the spin is meant to be as a
showoff
of the KDE family. Is it? Or is it meant for the *actual user* who has
preferences.
Both I assume, with the inherent compromises that brings.
The big difference however is that the experienced user will have the
knowledge on how to customise the desktop to their liking, which a
more ordinary user who is happy to use whatever comes with the desktop
won't.
