Why don't we ignore the part of FHS that is broken, instead of
ignoring the part of FHS that arguably isn't? That is, put stuff in
/srv complete with layout, and stop polluting /var?
Well, don't stop there. Treat FHS as an upstream and send a patch
request to have it changed. It only makes sense to patch our packages if
a change really makes sense and upstream takes a while to move (they
probably have to go through a longish process to make changes).
