being used in extras or core repository?. It would be curious to know
the details. Even the download numbers from main would provide a good
idea though its probably skewed by yum choosing a random mirror.

If you really wanted to know, something like this would probably be the way to do it. Or you could just look at Debian's results, being aware that Fedora will not be exactly identical.
