What about also adding
%ifarch i686
Supplements: (glibc(x86-32) if (nss_nis(x86-64))
%endif

Does this have the same non-ideal behavior regarding late installation
of glibc.i686?
I'd greatly prefer to avoid hard deps where they aren't
absolutely
necessary.
Recommends: isn't a hard dependency?
