Since Jason pointed me to git-seed-latest.tar.xz I've been peeking at all the packages included in that monster. And, as is to be expected with a massive number of packages, I ran into some corner cases.
This lead to two trivial pull request[1][2].
Both packages are unmaintained and their Bugzilla assignee is extras-orphan@fedoraproject.org. This suggests these pull request might be heading for /dev/null. If that's correct, who should I contact to ensure these packages are finally put out of their misery?

You don't need to contact anybody. Orphaned packages are retired after 6 weeks if nobody adopts them: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/package-maintainers/Package_Orphaning_P...

Please note that [1] was retired 11 years ago, but then added a package "dead.pagkage". As far as I know no packages have been shipped since then so it seems to have retired successfully. That pull request is a trivial clean-up to ensure it gets noted by scripts looking for "dead.package".
As for [2] it's unclear to me, now, whether it was orphaned just over six weeks ago or already in 2018. But the funny thing is it's been rebuilt since Fedora 32 without ever having a package included in anything. So, something looked off to me. How could that have happened?

It has "rebuilt" commits in dist-git, but no builds in koji. https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/packageinfo?packageID=29775
Still, yeah, looks like something went wrong there and it wasn't retired properly.

Any proven packager can merge it. I merged this one.
But you are right - no one monitors it. You have to raise an issue about it. The best place are relengs.

I am not going to merge this one. As I believe it may require some additional work beside this PR.
