Please recompile GStreamer codecs -- AKA: how to make things just work with PackageKit

I've been playing with the new code in PackageKit for codec installing
with external repos. It was a little disappointed to find some external
repos have not recompiled packages with a new gstreamer-devel and rpm.

This means packages display this:

[hughsie@localhost docs]$ rpm -qp /home/hughsie/gstreamer-ffmpeg-0.10.4-1.rph10.x86_64.rpm
--provides
 libgstffmpeg.so()(64bit)  
 libgstpostproc.so()(64bit)  
 gstreamer-ffmpeg = 0.10.4-1.lvn10

rather than this:

 [hughsie@localhost docs]$ rpm -qp --provides
/home/hughsie/rpmbuild/RPMS/gstreamer-ffmpeg-0.10.4-1.rph10.x86_64.rpm
 gstreamer0.10(decoder-application/gxf)()(64bit)  
 gstreamer0.10(decoder-application/mxf)()(64bit)  
 gstreamer0.10(decoder-application/ogg)()(64bit)  
.. a million mode code strings...
 libgstffmpeg.so()(64bit)  
 libgstpostproc.so()(64bit)  
 gstreamer-ffmpeg = 0.10.4-1.lvn10

All you need to do is recompile, and everything will be done
automatically. It would be disappointing to not have this fixed before
F10.

Be sure to not check repos that will be EOL real soon now, as a few 
package maintainers already stopped updating their packages there; look 
at the successor repos. Instruction how to use those repos easily were 
just posted yesterday:

Please note that the new repos don't have entries for all their packages 
in bugzilla.rpmfusion.org yet; thus please file bugs simply against 
"advancescan" (that the first one in the package list); someone will 
reassign the bug later.

Package owners can also be found in owners.list for the free and nonfree

P.S.: I plan to stop updating livna-devel real soon now. The plan is to 
put the rpmfusion-release rpms into the livna devel repo and add a hard 
dependency on them in a updated livna-release package; that way users 
that installed livna will normally automatically be moved over to the 
maintained successor repo

Ahh, thanks. I'll try those now. In some places he repo files mention:
download.rpmfusion.org --
shouldn't that be download1.rpmfusion.org?

Also,
http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/development/x86_64/debug/repod...
doesn't seem to exist.

Both issues fixed; new release-rpms in the repo; the old ones got 
deleted, thus eveyone please use this command to get the repo files from 
now on:

The plan is to let those symbolic links on the server side always point 
to the latest release-rpms. But I have to create those links manually 
each time something changes -- so if I forget that then please just let

Given the recent security scare, is this information (along with keys, I 
hope!) also posted somewhere "trustworthy"?

Would it be possible to drop a new-release rpm into livna so that livna 
users can get the new repo rpm from livna rather than having to trust 
the URL in (if you'll pardon me) some random e-mail?

Not yet, sorry. It's a whole lot of work to get a new repo running and 
nobody thought of the above yet afaics. So if you want to help with this

Yes, exactly that is the plan (that was already mentioned two mails
