Is there a separate discussion list for the Fedora Legacy[1] project? I'd like to get the ball rolling on getting this project off the ground to make Fedora a viable option for IHVs[2] and .edus. I know there are quite a few of us on this list that would like to start working toward a running project.
[1]: The Fedora Legacy project is a project to continue rolling errata for older Fedora Core and Red Hat releases.
[2]: IHV == Independent Hardware Vendor

The idea for Fedora Legacy came from the use of the (pre-existing) Fedora Linux Project's packages built for that purpose. The expectation is that until the merge is complete, the way to contribute packages for Fedora Legacy will be to work within the (pre-existing) Fedora Linux Project's process and build them there.

Ok. In the meantime, I've created a channel on freenode, #fedora-legacy, to generate some discussion w/the community to make an initial proposal for the project, as well as a set of questions identified. Please feel free to join us.

While I understand your impatience (I'm very interested in the Fedora Legacy idea myself) and admire your enthusiasm, I doubt there's going a lot to do on the Legacy side of things for the next 10 months. :-)
Unless you're thinking of releasing errata for RHL releases, which will all be reaching EOL in the near future, in which case I have just one question: where do I sign up?

We are infact trying to get something in place for the near EOL'd releases. The longer we wait to get something in place, the more we'll be standing around w/ our pants down when the time comes. People are excited now, seems like a good time to get something pounded out.
Please, join us on IRC as we discuss. Hopefully we'll have a simple website up with some information and more ways to contribute to the process.
