Hello all!
Due to the recent changes[1] in Freenode IRC network, I think it's time to speed-up switching all the Fedora official channels to the Matrix network.

It's already moving as fast as it can, per Matthew: https://pagure.io/Fedora-Council/tickets/issue/371#comment-733550

IRC isn't going to go away in a day/week/month.
We don't even have our own homeserver setup yet for matrix.
So, I think we are just going to have to move the irc side, bridge to matrix and slowly encourage people to move over. It's going to be years at least before we could look and see if IRC isn't worth bridging anymore. IMHO.

Then someone need to resolve this issue first: https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/matrix-irc-bridge-causes-annoying-joi...

As long as they have an IRC bridge, cool. Otherwise I am fine with IRC, I have to be there for other reasons anyway, and don't want to mess with yet another chat client.
