Reverting tmp on tmpfs mis-feature

What is the procedure for asking FESCO to reconsider and revoke the
broken tmp on tmpfs feature?

We can save this for the ticket.  How do we go about getting
it reverted?  I'm assuming the starting point must be a
FESCO ticket, but I cannot find anything in the feature process.

Start by filing bugs. Every feature owner should get the chance to first
fix things before you escalate it all the way to FESCO. 

Right now there is exactly one bug in tracked in the tmp-on-tmpfs
tracker bug:

One bug doesn't sound too bad, so I see no reason at all for all the
hubbub you are creating, and find it very uncoridal to go berserk with
escalating to FESCO before even filing a single bug, thank you very
much.

No, it doesn't.  It provides a public accounting of various problems. 
Then people can make an informed decision as to how to fix those 
problems, one of which may be to revert the feature change if they prove 
to be intractable.
