Hello All,
It would like to be able to contribute in the graphical environment of the Fedora project.
I have some works published in the site www.kde-look.org ( www.kde-look.org
(http://www.kde-look.org/usermanager/search.php?username=jaymejunior).
I am not accustomed with projects, however I go to need aid. Still I am a pricipiante in
Linux, but it would very like to be able to help.

I, personally, would very much like to encourage you
to participate in the Fedora Project. I'd certainly

I'm thinking about working on a graphic boot for the kernel. When the
kernel is loading with 'vga=' there's a graphic in the upper corner.
Does anybody know where in the source code it gets this graphic from?

After much experimentation, I have been unable to make that work. The
'make xconfig' doesn't list 'use splash screen instead of boot logo'
as
an option. Any suggestions?

Did you install bootsplash? "I think" all linux kernels have the
'penguin' built
into intrid by default, for the full backgrounds stuff you'll need bootsplash.
www.bootsplash.org.
I'm no athority on the subject I just remembered reading about it before and posted
the link. Bootspash.org seemed to clear it up for me though I'm just not sure how
compatible it is with RH since it was initially a suse thing.

Yeah, I'm trying to use bootsplash, but on option it needs is not on the
'make xconfig.' I got the suse source right now and I'm attempting to
backport it.

I tried it. It depends on the frame-buffer module, which is
'experimental' (ergo: broken) right now. As soon as that's fixed, I
think I can get the rest done.
