idiots guide to fedora contribution?

Do I understand correctly that the procedures for updating the packages I
maintain is changed?  Is there a quick guide to the new procedure? (I
looked a bit at the koji stuff, but I had more questions than answers).

Currently things change very rapidly, you should better search bohdi,
this is the update tool. 

I think that the whole wiki/documentation should be updated to get rid
of reference to core and extras, to document koji, bohdi, the change in
owners.list, in submission process (although it is possible that this
one is completely documented) and so on. It is already partly done, but 
I guess that there are missing pieces.

  https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/

You'll need to log in with your FAS username/password.

And if you are interested in maintaining your existing Extras package,
then it works as usual (after "yum install koji")
- first do "cvs update" on your copy of package's repository to get
updated the "common" directory and to create new dirs for Fedora 7
- and then "make new-sources; cvs ci; make tag build" for each release
you want

And use bodhi to publish your updates for Fedora 7

Our experience is that you could find yourself a partner who is also
maintaining packages, then you two could exchange your findings in
fp.o documents and ideas. This let both of you feel easier and work
better. Rarely both of you would fail.
