Hi again,
Am I wrong, or gnome-terminal has _become_ too slow in 0.94?
BTW, is fedora.us going to port their RPMs for 0.94?
Moreover, when I added arjanv's 2.6 repository, from the sample in /etc/sysconfig/rhn/sources, and tried to install his kernel by up2date, I got a silly error message:
file /lib/modules from install of kernel-2.6.0-0.test5.1.45 conflicts with file from package filesystem-2.2.1-4
Arjan? Can you fix that?

Yes, Warren has planned that, but cannot work on it full-time. Most should build without problems except those few which evaluate /etc/redhat-release.

I believe Warren is working on creating the build system this weekend.

Yes I've seen that too. However I've checked the spec for kernel-2.6 and it is marked as %dir.

That seems to be an up2date but, it's being to strict on comparison. ISTR discussing it with Adrian but can't remember if it's in bugzilla. Note if you do
up2date --get kernel, and then rpm -ivh /var/spool/up2date/kernel-<version> then that works, so it's not rpm complaining.

Oh indeed. Just upgraded my laptop to FC 0.94 from RHL 9 and anything in gnome- terminal is painfully slow. Slow enough to make me seriously consider testing apt's downgrade capabilities to go back to RHL 9 :-/
